Hey Monte carlo Gurus!
Can someone help me?
I am having some headlight trouble.
While driving at night, the headlights just go out. The dash lights and all stay on, just the head lights. I can hit the dimmer switch and the headlights come back on,,,, until next time.
I never turn the lights on manually, although I have tried wiggling that switch around to see if I can make a differance, with no luck.
The amp meter shows no change in charging, I still have my fog lights.
Thinking my dimmer switch is going bad, I have tried wiggling the dimmer switch to get them to flicker but with no luck. So I don't think it is the dimmer switch. I was told that it may be the headlight relay.
Would someone in the know give me their opinion? And if it is the relay, exactly where is it and how is it labeled?

Thank for any help in advance,
Darrell in Ohio

I had this problem, but mine was in the turn signal dimmer. You have to really pull that thing!! If you don't hear it click, it didn't click all the way! There is a brief millisecond period of time where no headlights are on in your car when you switch from the high to low beam, and apparently the dimmer is catching in between and giving you no headlights. You just got to make sure you pull that switch good!

yup same problem with both of mine, real pain when all you are doing is flashing your brights for whatever reason and your darn headlights go out for a bit. not fun haha

My lights haven't gone out like Darrell described, but I noticed my dimmer switch seems like it is really hard to operate. And sometimes I need to click it twice before my lights change from one beam to the other.

I thought my switch was bad.
